Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how BathKitchenCo ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (the "Site"), what they do, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information more generally.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the Site to recognize your browser, keep your shopping cart together, and remember your preferences between visits. Some cookies are set by us ("first-party cookies") and others are set by services we use, such as our analytics and advertising providers ("third-party cookies"). Cookies may be deleted when you close your browser ("session cookies") or remain on your device for a set period ("persistent cookies"). We also use similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, which work in a comparable way; when we say "cookies" in this policy, we mean all of these technologies.

Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

Run the Site securely and let you browse, add items to your cart, and complete checkout;
Remember your settings and preferences between visits;
Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve its content and performance;
Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where you allow it, show you ads that are more relevant to you.

Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the Site to work. They keep your session active, hold your cart contents, secure checkout, and store your cookie preferences. Because the Site cannot function without them, these cookies cannot be switched off.

Preference cookies

Remember settings from your previous visits, such as the region and currency the store uses for your cart, so they don't have to be set again each time.

Analytics and performance cookies

Collect information about how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed most and where visitors arrive from. We use this information in aggregated form to improve the Site. These cookies are optional.

Advertising and marketing cookies

Set by our advertising partners to measure whether our ads led to a visit or purchase and, where permitted, to show you relevant ads on other websites and platforms. These cookies are optional.

Third-Party Cookies

Our Site is hosted by Shopify, which sets cookies needed to operate the store and to provide us with store analytics. We also use tools from Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta, and Pinterest to measure and manage our advertising. These providers process information collected by their cookies under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We do not control third-party cookies and cannot guarantee how those providers use the information they collect.

How to Manage Cookies

Cookie settings on the Site. When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, decline optional cookies, or choose which categories to allow. No optional cookie is pre-selected for you. You can change your choices at any time through the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of the Site.
Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings or preferences menu. Instructions are available in your browser's help section. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site — including the cart and checkout — may not work.
Opt-out preference signals. Where required by applicable law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control sent by your browser. Declining advertising cookies, or sending such a signal, is how you opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising through cookies on the Site.
Advertising opt-outs. You can also limit personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com and through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove ads; it limits how they are personalized.

Please note that deleting cookies or changing settings on one device or browser does not affect your choices on other devices or browsers.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
